We all know and understand the impact that global warming is having on our planet and if we don’t act now, then our future generations are going to pay the price. If things continue as they are, nobody knows what the future will hold but it’s fair to say that it’s not looking great.

Change is not something that we can do individually. The damage has been done and the planet is a big place but we can make individual changes which become collaborative changes on a global scale and that’s where we position ourselves.

It’s not just individual people that can make a difference because businesses have to understand the impact that they have. You don’t need to be a large industrial power plant or factory to damage the planet. We recognise that being a modern business requires change and we are willing to embrace that change. We might work remotely but we still have a lot of responsibilities and we want to be the driver of change and become a company that cares.

Sure, we can be more mindful about how we operate and that is why we work remotely. It enables us to reduce our carbon footprint by holding meetings remotely, helping to reduce the need for unnecessary meetings.l How we manage our waste can change and how we use our equipment can all help but we are doing more by joining the Stripe Carbon Offset Program.

We are proud to become a part of this program and we have joined because we believe that a collective effort is needed to make a change. However, to reverse the damage and reduce the impact, it seems as though we are going to need technological interventions to speed up the recovery of our planet and to meet our targets.

These technologies are relatively new and with this comes high costs. This can prove a challenge when it comes to scaling up the technology but through the Stripe Climate Offset Program, we are contributing a part of our revenue to help fund these projects.

As the name suggests, it is a program that aims to reverse the impact that carbon has had on our planet. While planting new trees and changing our ways can make a difference, we need to speed up carbon removal which is where this program makes a difference.

It’s about bringing businesses together to form a coalition, enabling forward-thinking businesses like ours to do more when it comes to carbon removal.

The program incorporates scientific experts and leading carbon removal technologies to have a positive impact on our planet. Collectively, if we all contribute towards the cost of change and technological advances, it is possible to make a change at a quicker rate.

As we grow as a business, it means that we can do more because that’s what we focus on. We believe that by joining the growing number of businesses that are understanding the impact that the Stripe Carbon Offset Program is having, we can do much more.

We believe that this is an important step in the right direction. It proves that we care about what we do as a company and it means that we can align with the goals of our existing clients and potential clients.

If we all work together, then we can do more. Change is needed and change is important when it comes to protecting the world we live in. Net zero is certainly achievable but time is not on our side and that gives MBJ London even more of a reason to partner up and play our part on a wider scale because this is a problem that every single one of us is facing.
